Find your bike's insured value, then check the insurer table on each lock's page to see whether that lock's
rating clears your specific insurer's threshold. A higher Sold Secure tier is not automatically the right
choice if your insurer accepts a lower one at your bike's value.

Several D-locks on this page carry Diamond, which satisfies every insurer we checked at every bike value we found a published threshold for. Gold satisfies most insurers up to a lower bike value; Bronze and Silver satisfy fewer insurers, and usually only up to a modest value.
